2018 5-star wing Keldon Johnson says Kentucky's interest has cranked up. No offer yet, but they've started calling/watching his games.

It's July. Cal is looking at everyone. This is when recruiting takes off, then by the end of the month we typically know who he's prioritizing and who the real targets are. You'll hear a lot of names in the next three weeks and things will start to shape up and narrow down after that.

Might even have a commitment or three.

That was my first impression too.

Which isn't a bad thing. Johnson is 6'6". Briscoe is 6'3". Stockpiling 6'6" to 6'9" wings can only be a positive, and it seems to be the direction Cal is preferring with his recent trends (Vanderbilt, Diallo, Knox, Washington).

I don't think it's improbable that Cals wants three of these types of prospects again next year. Justin Jackson and Josh Jackson, and UK's problems matching up with that type of athlete the last few years, have made a mark with Cal.
