Both Kentucky players have moved up in the rankings according to 247sports.

Drake Jackson has moved up to the #71 player in the nation, top C in the country.
Landon Young has moved up to the #99 player in the nation, 13th ranked offensive tackle of the class.

Side-note: If Kash Daniel (#96 player in the country, #2 ILB of the class) commits to UK, only 5 schools will have more top 100 recruits than UK. Those schools are FSU, Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia, and LSU.

For what it's worth, Kash Daniel was on UK's campus yesterday taking a visit. He was in Lexington hosting a radio show with Drake Jackson, Landon Young, and two other players out of Lexington beginning to be recruited by D1 programs.

Looking like good times ahead for UK. Hope the staff keeps up the terrific work.

Excellent news. Love to see our guys getting the recognition they deserve for their hard work. Nice to see the state putting out talent like this as well. :)

3 top 100 ranked players from the state of KY. Ever happened before?

I doubt if it has ever happened before but I think the 65 team would have been a possibility if they had the rankings back then. Rodger Bird, Rick Kestner, Sam Ball, Doug Davis, Rick Norton all from Kentucky I believe and all very high in the draft. Some might forget that they would have had a huge advantage because the pletora of African Americans in the south were hardly mentioned then because they didn't play in the SEC before KENTUCKY spearheaded integration.

Even harder to guess at but the Bear probably had three from one state in that rare atmosphere, Babe Parilla, Bob Gain, and several other stars all from the same state. but they were from the coal fields of Pennsylvania.

Good memory jauk11. Was Doug Davis a Kentuckian?

OK, but I thought if UL can cheat on everything then I should be able to cheat a little, and isn't Ohio like our home state for recruiting now?

UK still had three first round home state picks in Norton, Bird, and Ball, with Kestner in the third round I believe.

And while the Bear had nine players drafted in 51 the Babe was actually a year later, in the 52 draft.

So fired up about these guys!! These positions are the real difference makers in the SEC. Stoops & company are really recruiting like the Big Boys !!! Things can't help but get better with big time recruits like these.[banana][banana]
