At Nike's "The Opening Regional Columbus" camp. 3 of the big fellas in the trenches made it to the finals in the 1 vs 1 match-ups. C Drake Jackson, OT Landon Young, and DT Kordell Looney.
Another OL from the state of Kentucky (who many believe will go to UK) that made it into the final round is Saige Young.

Video of the final round below!

Young looked good but the osu guy is flat out fast. He killed young off the edge. Drake definitely earned his rep. Need to keep young on board though.

I agree, that kid may be undersized, but he's a stud. At least Young bested him one out of the 3 tries. He has a long way to go, but he has a lot of tools work with.
I was very impressed with Kordell Looney against Michael Onwenu. Looney is currently our lowest rated recruit (I'm shocked he isn't ranked higher, but he will be), and he handled the #6 OG in the country (a 4 star). He's picking up the offers and he says he's sticking solid with UK. Very encouraging.

All these guys will stick if we start winning some games. If we poop out and lose our last 4 or 5 games again this year, it's going to be another tough signing period for us.

Young reminded me of Hayden Lane in that video, a young man who took a lot of grief on this board. I still hope we keep him ... excited he made the final 5!

BS. These guys committed early even knowing we faded last year. No one like Harris in on the line to commit & didn't & thus giving cause to decommit. I'm surprised C11180 isn't on your case for negativity.

Saw Looney is ranked 48 at his position. Is that a change or where he was ranked? Can't imagine 40 guys better than him out there though NT and dt do get lumped in together so you have to project NT really well.
