With that much size, skill, depth and athleticism----Cal has to win that title. He just has to. If he has the team he had last year, the John Wall team, and 2016 team and doesn't win the title with any of those 3 teams it will hurt him in the eyes of a ton of people. Next year right now we have 4 projected top 10 picks. The John Wall team had 2 all-star players and last year he had the greatest team assembled in probably modern basketball. Cal keeps harping last year going 38-1...no one remembers that and if they do its a UK fan. You go up to an average basketball fan like an Wichita State fan they say "Duke won the title". I don't care if we win the title this year. You cant have 3 teams with far and away the best roster in the country and not win a title in any of those years. And don't tell me "they are still freshmen"... Cal chooses this, that's not an excuse.
Cal IMO is assembling an amazing class, which is friggin awesome, but with that I think the pressure next year is going to be nuts for him and the players.
