So I cannot help be in a state of hope, excitment, and inspiration for the upcoming season. My read is this team will thrive on offense, and look to hold the opposition with as much moxy as possible on D. Despite our rb and wr skill/depth and improved offensive line, the key decidely remains at QB. Towles and Barker represent as strong as a position on any side of the ball in the preseason, maybe only second to the guys at wr they throw to.
All that said (pure conjecture, but hey its preseason and its fun) its got me thinking the sky is the limit for this side of the ball. The confidence Towles displayed on SEC NETWORK to thank even further. I did a little research, and I want to ask:
Where does the 2015 rank all time in UK history in total offense in yards??
Here is the top 5 uk offenses, and last year included for reference:
1998- 5876 yds, Outback bowl year with Couch and Yeast.
2007- 5764 yds, Music City over Fsu with AW, RL, KB, and SJ
2010- 5562 yds, Hartline and Cobb go to BBVA Compass
1997- 5214 yds, Couch coming out party, beat Alabama, no bowl
2000- 4900 yds, Dusty Bonner and Whalen ( correct me if I'm off here w personel).
And just for perspective last year we reached 4612.
What do guys think?? Do you think this team can reach 6000 yds? What rung can they reach or surpass??
*also Im shocked no Lorenzen team is on that top 5 after doing the research.
