everybody in the country will be all over him. Hope UK joins the group.

Hope Ben Simmons isn't in his ear. LSU opened up a lot of room down low and he goes to high school with Simmons.

I hadn't thought of that. I imagine if LSU wants him they are going to be seriously looked at. Wonder if Duke joins in as well?

Would solve some depth issues for us on the inside.Would love to see Cal give this kid a serious look.Of course we have no idea if he has interest in us or not.

Actually he is pretty good, and a winner. He would be a better get than the kid we are competing with Kansas at the moment. He would solve the what if Skal is in foul trouble problem that has absolutely no solution at present.

I think I posted this previously, but Dickerson originally committed to G'Town. For some reason, he flipped to Florida, but I thought he signed a LOI.
If he wants to stay in the SEC, would that bogus 2 year sit rule come into play with Foley? That came up a few years ago with a recruit that wanted to stay in conference....

That 2 year rule was done away with years ago. If he has already signed he has to be released from Fla.

If this is true then this is going to really hurt Fla. I look for them to be really down this year.

I was just looking at their roster and they lose Chris Walker, Jon Horford, & Eli Carter from an already sub .500 team. Now with 2 recruits asking for their release from a recruiting class that was suppose to fit in nicely if everyone had returned. Florida is gonna slowly fall off.

Looking that way but not completely unheard of after a coaching change.

That being said, shame on any coach or program that even gives thought to restricting the options of a player who changes his mind after the coach he committed to leaves the program.

There is debate over whether or not schools even have this option (have seen people on both sides of this). But if UF is allowed to restrict any signed recruit's options, and chooses to, Foley/White should be absolutely blasted by guys like Jay Bilas. Its utterly laughable to even consider in these circumstances.

That 2 year rule went up in smoke some time ago. 10 years are better. I think the coach has a right to where he can transfer to.

It would be nice to add another big body down low. I think we are good everywhere else, but Cal has got to get another big!

I'd love to have Dickerson just from the standpoint that the class of 2016 is devoid of big men. Having him, Willis, and Wynyard would be a nice start to a decent frontline next year.

I disagree.

I think they're going to fall off immediately.

Michael Frazier left as well. They will basically be relying on kasey hill and finney-smith to do everything next season.

He would definitely fill a huge need for UK. We need another true low post guy. We only have Skal, Lee, and Poythress. If this guy can give us 10 mins to limit Skal's fouls, would be huge

Willis is not a 4.

TruBluCatFan you are so right! Thanks for pointing out my mistake. It happens to all of us.

Yessir it does. Happens to me all the time. I don't know if they have they ability to limit his schools for an LOI release or not. Common sense would say no but common sense and college athletics rules rarely go hand in hand.

^^^Right there.

In case of foul trouble, or if we're playing against some real hack & shove types down low, Dickerson would provide some very valuable minutes in the paint. He may even grow a bit more by the time the season starts.

They already have fallen off, and now it looks like it's going to take them a long time to get back up.

It's almost like Donovan's time there never even happened. The Florida basketball program of 2015 is not in substantially better condition going forward than schools like Arkansas, UT, or LSU. You could argue that Auburn has a brighter immediate future, since Pearl has proven he can win in the SEC and he's already taken major steps in upgrading their talent level.

That'd sure make things even more interesting in Baton Rouge. Seems like LSU would have an easy shot, if they want him?

LSU has a 6'9" transfer from Arizona, Craig Victor that will be eligible. LSU may not be a great option.

Well Willis is going to his minutes at the "4" when he is in the game so he better learn to be one if he wants any run.

Since Donavon left, Noah would not have to sit out a year even if he signed a letter of intent.

Willis is a combo forward, IMHO.

He doesn't handle as well as most 3's and would struggle guarding most 3's in college.

He isn't strong enough to guard most college 4's and doesn't rebound particularly well.

He has a decent jumper, so maybe he should be considered a "stretch 4" like Wiltjer (though not at that level of course).

I have mixed feelings about adding another big like Dickerson.

On one hand, it would be nice to have some talented depth inside for next season.

But Dickerson would only get 10-12mpg behind Labissiere, Poythress, and Lee.

That means he is likely back next season and I want to save room for as many 2016 players as possible, since that is a loaded class.

Cal gets paid big bucks to figure it out, so luckily I don't have to.

I would think he could get 15 to 20 minutes backing up both AP and Skal. I also think there are several reasons why he would not come here, but it would be nice if he did.

Yeah it will be another media article that says we missed on another recruit that we never showed any interest in. But hey, it sells on TV.
