Ulis is too low in this ranking. I would not trade him for any other point guard in the country.

Athlon has Kentucky preseason number 1, Kentucky winning the National championship. They have Louisville as a 6 seed and losing in the second round . I think they struggle to make the field of 68.

Ullis is top 3 at worst.

Poythress is not in the top 40 inside out players.

Haven't seen the article but off the top of my head I'd say they probably rank Dunn and Van Fleet ahead of him. They might have Marcus Paige and Melo Trimble as well though I doubt Paige plays much PG and Trimble is more of a scoring guard.

1. Dunn- Providence
2. Trimble- Maryland
3. Paige- UNC
4. VanVleet- Wichita St.
5. Ferrell- IU
6. Morris- Iowa St.
7. Ulis- UK
8. Jackson- ND
9. Moore- SMU
10. Brunson- Nova

Lol...thats laughable. I'd only, honestly, rank maybe Dunn, Trimble, and Van Fleet ahead of Ulis - purely because of experience. Ulis is going to prove himself to be the best pure PG in the country by seasons end.

I'd put UK's three point guards in the top 10 floor leaders, and Ulis at #2. Murray is diametrically better than Trimble, who is ranked 2nd, and Murray isn't even UK's best floor leader.

Ulis will be a top 5 PG, IMHO, by the end of the year.

Same for Murray as a wing and Labissiere as a post.

Monte Morris from Iowa State is legit. I can't fault any list that has him ahead of Ulis. With the stats that Kris Dunn gets, it's hard to argue that one as well, though skill-wise, I think Ulis is just as good as Dunn (based on the head-to-head match-up between the two.

Doesn't hurt having 4 players that are top 7 in the country at their positions (with Skal being the top post player).

As a floor leader, I Wouldn't Take Any Guy on this list over Ulis. Might be better overall players ahead of him, but as floor leaders, not one. Ulis played even better than expected last season and should have played more minutes, but I understand why he didn't. As a SO, I expect more even stats wise. Not sure I would agree with Poythress being that high, but I'm hoping they are right. Talent wise, I could see making a case for him. Let's all hope he shows what we all have been waiting for With his game. I think Murray is going to be the overall best player in the country this coming season so I guess I disagree with his rating.

Iowa St. has a lot of talent and experience and Morris is a heck of a floor general. It's still hard for me to understand why Hoiberg would leave his alma mater just when they were on the verge of becoming a legitimate national title contender. I know, money talks, but I still think it's sad.

I would put Iowa St. as a definite top five team if Hoiberg was still on the sideline. The biggest question is their coach. The team should be one of the best, but is he ready for the national spotlight?

I have them as a sleeper pick for the Final Four. They have the talent and experience to get there as long as their new coach doesn't get in the way.

^ money talks haha. He makes twice the money and is friends with the Bulls gm. Personally I wouldn't want to go to Chicago, they have a long history of treating coaches like garbage, including Phil.

If he flames out with the Bulls he'd be welcomed back to isu. He's like a god in Ames.
