I was reading a story in the Philadelphia Inquirer yesterday about the Sixers and their draft picks. It mentioned that in the 2010 draft they had the #2 pick and chose Evan Turner over Boogie Cousins, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Greg Monroe and a few other guys who have gone on to become great players while Turner has played for 5 teams in 7 years. The article mentioned Josh Jackson as a possible "new Evan Turner," a guy who seems like a great player but may be a "tweener" in the NBA without a natural position.
Hard to believe the Timberwolves took Wesley Johnson from Syracuse at #4 instead of Cousins. That may have been an even worse pick than Turner at #2. Most people thought that was a weak draft but it turned up some pretty good players who have had strong careers, including Eric Bledsoe and Patrick Patterson, and of course John Wall.
