I was reading a story in the Philadelphia Inquirer yesterday about the Sixers and their draft picks. It mentioned that in the 2010 draft they had the #2 pick and chose Evan Turner over Boogie Cousins, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Greg Monroe and a few other guys who have gone on to become great players while Turner has played for 5 teams in 7 years. The article mentioned Josh Jackson as a possible "new Evan Turner," a guy who seems like a great player but may be a "tweener" in the NBA without a natural position.

Hard to believe the Timberwolves took Wesley Johnson from Syracuse at #4 instead of Cousins. That may have been an even worse pick than Turner at #2. Most people thought that was a weak draft but it turned up some pretty good players who have had strong careers, including Eric Bledsoe and Patrick Patterson, and of course John Wall.

Turner started off nicely but has some issues off the court. And yeah its intersting to look back on past draft snafus. Kings lead the NBA in what might have beens....should and could very easily be where the Warriors are.

True and I also remember some were saying Turner should go #1 over Wall.

Jackson is not a tweener. TUrner was not athletic and didn't do one thing GREAT. He was billed as a tall point guard type player. No comparison.

Yeah, Jackson is a pure SF who can maybe play some SG. The one thing I'd worry about with Jackson is his mental makeup. Not how smart he is but how he'll react to instantly being a multi-millionaire. He hasn't proven he can maturely handle things off the court.
