He was. He was one of the early Ky boys that fans always thought should've gotten more clock than he did. Dude could shoot and it usually didn't take him long to get up a shot when he checked in

That Georgetown gamewas probably the biggest meltdown in Kentucky history what's bad we had already beaten phi slamma jamma comfortably during the season I remember being shell shocked watching that game still speechless Joe hall retired the following year

Mel Turpin cane and visited my 5th grade class. A buddy of mine had a sister that was something in the athletic department. We'd always have guest visits but that day was the best. He talked to us for a bit and signed autographs. I still have it somewhere. I remember him walking in and having to duck to get through the door. I remember the collective "ahh, ooh" when he walked in. Good memory.

You guys around that time, Auburn had a fat bald kid who loved torching Kentucky. That night Auburn knocked Kentucky off, this kid went for like 20 and 10. My 55 year old memory recalls him being 6'1, 290. Maybe 5'9, 300.

We later ended this guys' college career, leaving him crying on the floor.

i remember that game like yesterday. I HATED Charles because he HATED UK. I loved watching him cry like a baby on the floor when UK sent him packing, Hated him then, but have come to love him as a commentator now. I can hours of this guy in Utube.

Charles played with a 6 ft 8 forward named Chuck person BIG time player too auburn had a very good team
