We have had 4 National Championships in the last 52 seasons which averages out to 1 every 13 seasons. Yet we have some fans saying give him 3 years. College Basketball changed late in Rupp’s years and he couldn’t win. Hall had great talent but not many NBA players and won 1 in 13 years.
Sutton had issues and led us to probation.
Pitino came in as the game was changing and won 1 title in 8 years. And most every year we had to see if he was going to NBA. Tubby came in stayed 10 years and won 1 title . Billy was a 2 year joke. Then we got Cal who came in as things were changing and he won 1 title in 15 years and things changed again in last couple of years.
Kids now don’t care about Ky they care about the league. The portal causes no loyalty. Kids who had good years with successful teams are portaling.
High profile coaches will not come here anymore
and the fans will continue to be who they are .
