D has played better than the offense for sure. Idk if that's a compliment though.

Hard for me to say the defense did it’s job when they continually let the league leader in receiving touchdowns get wide open for more touchdowns. The defense did okay but had sone awful, awful breakdowns.
They got bama with the exact same action all game. I am pretty sure a few of those should've been illegal formation in the bama game. Will have to see here, if I bother watching a replay.
That's another advantage to their pace. Officials don't get time to check the formation

Agree with this. The blown coverages were terrible, but I saw our guys making some good open field tackles. Considering the piss-poor performance on Offense and Special Teams that put the defense in some pretty bad spots, I thought the D actually did ok. They’re the only unit of the team I would give a passing grade to (D).
Put it this way, if the D played as bad as our Offense, the Vols would have put up 70+ last night.
