Halftime of Peach Jam, ESPNU just said with Tatum's verbal that Duke was probably headed for a third straight #1 recruiting class. I could see this year (15 class).

With the addition of Murray, how did the incoming freshmen class end up in ranking.(3 top 10)
I guess that Mulder doesn't count being a JUCO)
With 3 of top 10/11, a underrated Matthews, and the #1 JUCO, really how do you rate our new additions.

I follow recruiting closely, but not so much as many of you and only see recruits on t.v., so fill me in.

I also would rate our FR class of 14, thah just put 3 guys in the lottery as the #1 class leaving if not #1 when they arrived.

I think it's based on the trio package expected to sign. Duke winning the title will really fuel their recruiting the next few years. He's got some solid recruiters on his staff. Particularly the former Ok coach who scored a lot of high recruits while he was there. Cal will still get his, but K is playing and winning at this game right now.

I started this thread for discussion only. I realize that ranking and ratings for players, freshman classes and over all team ratings are just opinions. Top 5/10 in any is just an assigned number. (preseason) Not much better after playing starts. More important is how they finish.
I've been watching bb since before I heard about ratings except the old Cats' Pause and CJ Super Five and major misses have always been the norm.

On another ranking note, after watching the Peach Jam final, after Tatum and the little guard going to Auburn, I didn't see much. (between naps) Really, tell me what I missed.

Carolina said the same thing. It's gonna happen, it's an unstoppable train of tremendous commotion. You should just worry about preparing for when Duke gets #10 in 2023 (UK gets #9 in 2018).

I would not take their class over ours (unless Skal is ineligible).

It'll be a drag to play a duke team that IS destined for the NIT. What will be K's fake ailment to get sympathy from the ACC this year? Worked in 2007 with his fainting episodes. Didn't work in 95.

Skal is better than anyone they have coming in.

Murray is comparable to ingram, but won't be forced to play the 4 at 185 pounds.

Briscoe is comparable or better than Thornton

Jeter and Kennard are so overrated it isn't funny. I'd take Mulder over kennard.

Noel is better than anyone on your roster. Harrow had proven more than any of your returning players. So did wiltjer. Poythress had more hype than ingram. Goodwin was rated higher than kennard.

Literally nothing is written is stone saying that everyone other than Jefferson (who is basically a stick thin 5 and 5 guy) are going to be anything other than complete flops.

Grayson Allen is getting hyped up because of one game against one of the worst defensive teams to ever make a final four. He had more games last year where he played more than 10 minutes and yet didn't put up more than 1 point, 1 rebound or 1 assist than he had double digit scoring games.

Your team is sooooooo overrated it isn't funny. I'm looking forward to seeing what K's fake physical ailment is during this NIT run.
