Hell I think slightly below average would workJust get average man defensively, average and they can beat anybody

On offense for sureHe seems to have 2-3 of them every game. Keep thinking he will quit making those mistakes.
He does way more right though so I try to cut him a little slack.
They just don't value possessions which will cost them in the Big Dance.Terrible pass by Sheppard!
Like Bryce Hopkins did against LSU, only to be shut down the rest of the season? What I'd love more than anything is for BigZ to go off and prove why he deserves minutes.
If the rebounding can get better I agreeHell I think slightly below average would work
Well it is Vandy, they are horrible. So not sure we can take a lot away from smoking them.wait, I just realized we can't win without Wagner
You know.. could it be that this team is finally starting to learn what to do?
I've said this before.. Cal has some teams that don't struggle with the basics.. but some do. This team is the latter. They are just so far behind fundamentally.
A player not looking in the right direction, then figuring it out later, tells me the problem is on the player, not the coach.
Mdwildcat and Sejonesy are both planning 30+ page treatises on why this game is an indication of a turn around. Is this a quad 4 win?
which is why its so unrealistic to believe a team of freshmen gives you any better chance to be a title contenderYou know.. could it be that this team is finally starting to learn what to do?

We could’ve score 100, with making FTs, and still lost. With the current defense they better score nearly every time. Shot 50% from field. Hit 12 3s against UT scored 92 but gave up 103. That's horrible.

Cal has no logic to rotations or playing time. He's insane.
It is because our bigs have the worst hands in the country. Our lobs are like asking a magic 8 ball. Soemtimes it works, sometimes it looks like a disaster
Actually it is a quad 3 win (assuming they hold in the top 240 NET rankings) since this is a road gameIs this a quad 4 win?
Does FIBA teach you to consistently bring the ball to your waist when you are 7'2"?Maybe. But I think BigZs ceiling is much much higher.
I think part of the problem was 1. Big Z had a lot of catching up to do and 2. He's used to FIBA rules which are a lot different than college rules.
I'm hoping he sees more after this game.
