SEC uses kentuckys ranking to help get more SEC teams into the tournament. Because what does it matter if it drops UK seed lines if they get more SEC teams in?

Yep. Football is protected bc the BCS era and 4 team playoff required the top SEC teams to get calls here or there to ensure you have a league team undefeated or 1 loss. (We’ll see if a 12 team playoff changes that at all). But making the tournament is all that matters from a league perspective in Basketball
