As far as I can tell the 2015 rule is still in effect and the Power five schools have to follow through if they offer a four year scholarship. I’d assume they don’t do that except for elite players and keep second tier players year to year but that’s just a guess.

I don’t know why people are freaking out. This has been an amazing offseason. We’re going to have a lot of basketball to talk about for months to come. I wish we had a Bahamas trip… would be the perfect cap on the summer.
He’s crushing it. We could have had Billy Donovan turn it down a third time and lost weeks of traction like these losers want. Probably all still cry over their high school sweetheart that got away.
All of the reports I saw were that he hadn’t officially committed but that the program felt confident and that he had told people around the program that he was coming. Thank you Keeneland.

Say 32 game season at 1.5m that’s $465,000 to hang out in college and fake an injury while cutting out a third of your workload. Would be hard to pass up.
