My wife and I are kicking around the idea of cancelling Directv. We think we will do fine with just Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime with one gaping hole....sports (particularly UK). Any input will be greatly appreciated.

SlingTV includes ESPN and ESPN2 for $20, and you can add ESPNU, SEC Network, etc. for $5 more. No DVR, though.

WatchESPN is based on who your TV provider is, not internet. Unless Time Warner cut a different deal with ESPNDo you have Time Warner internet? If so, you can stream WatchESPN.
You can't use TWC as a provider with the watch ESPN app if it's playing on the SEC network. If it's on any other ESPN channel you can. But the SEC network isn't available for TWC on the ESPN app. Which is BSDo you have Time Warner internet? If so, you can stream WatchESPN.

A true sports' fan (UK) would come up with a better solution...........like eating less, wearing old clothes, walking to work.
