You don’t win in the first few rounds of the NCAA playing “modern basketball”. Defense still rules. You have to be able to win games in the 60s and 70s or you’re hopeless.

How the hell is this 31-3 James Madison team a mere 12 seed? Looks like the Committee may’ve completely missed the boat when seeding this one.

It’ll be interesting to see if they can keep up this intense frenetic energy for a full 40 minutes.

JMU leads 33-20 at the half.

They run a kind of half court version of the 40 minutes of hell on defense...they have one of the highest scoring offenses in the nation (ranked 13th averaging 84PPG).

21 JMU points off of 13 Wisconsin turnovers. Badgers are shooting 26% from the field. Every pass/every shot is ruthlessly contested.

Wiscy players looked like a sack of potatoes mid way through the first half from exhaustion....shooting air balls and missing shots in the paint.

The announcers say they haven't lost since January.

If the 12th seed can close out the 5th seed...the JMU Dukes might give Duke a good game on Sunday.
