That team had Delk, Derek Anderson, Jeff Sheppard, Allen Edwards, and Cameron Mills that could play the 2. He made the right decision but it’s fun to think about.

Pitino should not get a pass for basically ignoring Allen

In fairness, Ray Allen was barely ranked in the top 25 in his high school class. He and Sheppard had comparable rankings. Pitino basically said he'd give a scholarship to the first commitment.

Sheppard obviously went on to help UK win two titles, and without Sheppard in 1998, we don't win it all. Plus, we got Reed out of the deal.

But yeah. Ray Allen could have and certainly would have been the face of mid-90s Kentucky basketball. If he's on that 1995 roster, we probably win it all as that team would have had no weakness.

So instead of winning it all in 1996 and 1998, UK would have probably won it all in 1995 and 1996.
