Just looking at the national stats for Iowa's offense nationally and it's as ugly as you would think.
PPG: 7. That's last in the country.
TD's: 1. That's dead last in the country. UMass, Kent State, and Colorado have two TD's this year.
Total Offense: 158 yards. Last in the country. Next on the list is New Mexico State at 230 yards per game. Huge gap.
Passing Offense: 100.5. Not last! 127th. KState, San Diego State, Air Force, and UMass have less passing yards.
First Downs: 10.5. Last in the country. ODU and New Mexico State are at 13 per game.
Rush Offense: 57.5. 127th in the country. Four teams are worse right now.
Longest plays on offense. Iowa is tied for last with UMass. Only 9 players of ten yards or longer this season and two over 20 yards. No offensive plays over 30 yards this season.

Rofl, sorry man but that's absurd. Y'all really need to get rid of Ferentz Jr and unfortunately Ferentz Sr. too. The game passes people by sometimes.
Well, they are leading the nation in something. The cradle of punters. Kentucky used to be in the running for that title.
Look at it this way, that's so egregiously bad that something is going to have to change. Might not be till the end of the year, but there's no way the adminstration lets this continue.
Between Kirk and Brian Ferentz Iowa is paying $7.9 MILLION this year for this offense.
Well, Nebraska just fired Frost......paid him 15 million......if they just wait 2 more weeks, his payout goes down to 7 million....

Actually, I'm coming to the defense of AD Trev Alberts ( a personal friend actually) on that one.
Two HUGE boosters for Nebraska privately stepped in to pay the other half of Frost's $15 MILLION buyout to fire him now instead of waiting 2 weeks. Trev/Nebraska paid the other $7.5 million.
Imagine hating a coach so much you'd put up $3-4M of your own money just to get rid of him a few weeks earlier.
That just means every TD is of high value…..
…or you could look at the stats and say that Iowa has the most room for growth in all of college football. Endless possibilities!
From what Nebraska insiders are saying, there was some sort of “altercation “ after the game that lead to the firing . Some Nebraska fans believe Frost knew it was coming and kinda forced the AD’s hand .
The B10 West is awful. Minnesota being the best team in the division tells you all you need to know.
