1. 2011 Elite Eight....revenge for 95 and 77. Plus we got absolutely homered in loss to them early that season. I mean one of the all time screw jobs against UK.
2. 2000 at UNC....first win over them since like 74, I think. We were actually down by 2 at the half, I believe. We could have won by 25 easily but they made it a "respectable" 19-point loss at the end. Still remember Jim Nantz getting annoyed because UK fans were cheering behind him after the game.
3. 2011....Anthony Davis blocks John Henson. One of the most amazing clutch plays in UK history, IMHO.
4. 2001 at UK....Tayshaun, Tayshaun, Tayshaun, Tayshaun, TAYSHAUN! That fifth three was also one of the most amazing plays in UK history.
5. 1950s....UK 83, UNC 44. Still UNC's worst loss ever. Know nothing about it other than that, but isn't that enough?

My favorite moment was when Andre Riddick tried to choke slam Sheed. I imagine that's how the world feels about UNC and Sheed. I know it's how I feel. Thanks Andre.
And even after looking at REPLAY the refs gave the T to Mcarty . One of the most unbelievable things I've seen in college basketball .

Except that moment probably cost us that game and very possibly a national championship that year.

The incident was so irrationally and unfairly handled by the refs that it really seemed to cause us to lose our composure and self destruct afterward. First, the refs largely overlooked the fact that the whole thing was started by Wallace delivering a blatantly intentional and vicious elbow to Andre's face. And then the refs inexplicably assessed the call to Walter McCarty, who had nothing whatsoever to do with it, and refused to reverse their mistake even after being informed of it and reviewing the replay. After that, we just lost it.

We'd been playing better than any team in the country down the stretch that season ...until that moment.

1974 - Cats were on the brink of another disastrous season following the blowout loss to IU earlier in the season. They fell behind UNC pretty big early in the game and IIRC, Hall even drew a T, seem to fire up the Cats and JD Connor went off and UK ended up beating the Heels pretty easily that night in FH.

Exactly right. I actually watched it on youtube recently, first time I have dared watch any of it since that night. We were up 8-2 when that happened, and Pitino got so uptight it made our players uptight. We were afraid to go inside against them the rest of the game. I quit watching a couple minutes later because I could see in our body language what had happened.

We would have lost to Arkansas the next game anyway.
