1. Dec. 1983....no one under the age of 40 will understand, but this blowout win at home was so huge. They had chirped incessantly ever since Crum arrived, then in 82 we lost to Middle Tennessee (whom they beat by 25), then in 83 we lost the Dream Game. Watching us dominate them the way we always thought we could was validation.
2. 2012 Final Four....another we HAD to win. If we had lost this, the Mayans would have been right.
3. 2014 Sweet 16....still not sure how we won that game. U of L controlled it until the last minute.
4. Dec. 1986....they had just won their second title, we lost Winston Bennett to injury, then we beat them by 34 on their home floor. Little Brother.
5. Dec. 2004....might have wrong year, but the Patrick Sparks game. Amazing.

2014 was pretty nice in the NCAA tourney.

2011, in the Chiken shack was fun. I'll never forget Pitino arguing with his staff how to stop UK. Really was eye opening watching Cal out-coach Pitino on his new floor.

2012. Beating UofL in the Final Four on our way to a title. No bigger win.

2014. Sweet-16. Only because of the EPIC meltdown from UofL after the game. It also kept us on the path to another Final Four.

2004. Patrick Sparks Game. UofL fans like to wine about Sparks walking (he did), but conveniently forget O'Bannon charging into Hayes on the previous trip a call which the officials also got wrong.

1996. Only because of Derek Anderson's dunk

2010. Jorts smacking UofL around during the first UK game in the YUM! center.

2010 was awesome. They were so sure they were going to beat us, I was honestly prepared for a loss and we stomped them.

'86 game at Cheatem Hall. Rex goes for 26 points and the Cats roll the Dirty Birds by 34 on their home floor. Denny and the team head to the locker room with Go Big Blue chants ringing in their ears.

Hard to beat the '12 Final Four game or the '86 thirty-four point blow out. Wasn't that the week that Sutton uttered the famous "little brother" line? The current ownership is quite nice, coming as it is in the middle of the uofl glory years, at least by their standards.....

2014 simply because of the greatest internet meltdown I've ever seen came as a result of them losing to us.

- 1983 East Regional Final in Knoxville, I was 16 years old, we lost in OT and didn't even have Bowie. UL went on to lose to Houston in the Final Four setting up the epic NC State upset in the final. UL had the McRay twins Scooter and Rodney and they would talk to each other in pig Latin on the court. Anyone remember that?

- 1984 Mid-East Regional Semifinals Revenge comes fast, Bowie is Back and we are off to Seattle to face Georgetown in the Final Four. I predict we will start slow then light up the scoreboard in the 2nd half against the Hoya's.

- 2004
- 2012
- 2014

2012 FF - If UK lost that game, we'd still be hearing about it.
2014 S16 - The post game meltdown from Cards fans was priceless and we flat out stole one that night.
1993 - Louisville gets an early lead at Freedom Hall, Cliff Rozier gets T'd up, Mash and Rhodes tag-teamed to lead the Cats to a 20 point victory.
2011 - Jorts
1987 - Ced Jenkins' tip in at the buzzer breaks hearts of Cards fans.

Any game we beat little brudder is good but it's been pretty sweet since Cal got here and the run we've had against them:cool2::popcorn:

1. 2012 Final Four Game
2. 1995-96 game in Freedom Hall /w the Anderson dunk
3. 2001-2002 game. Pitino's first game back in Rupp
4. 2014 Sweet 16 Game
5. 2004-2005 Patrick Sparks game

Since the title of the thread doesn't limit this to UK-UL games, I'll say the 1975 UL-UCLA game should be mentioned. It's on the short list of best played games ever. (with 1992 UK-Duke and 1974 Maryland-NC State)

Yes Good Ole Eddie tagged that slime with the name of all names Little Brother then went into Cheetum Hall and whupped the cards..

And the thing is he didn't say it as a way to put them down. They asked him about this intense rivalry and he said "we don't look at it that way, we look at them more as our little brother".

I mean, you have one program in the state that is top tier, and one that is second tier. What's wrong with what he said? Only a little brother would get mad at that moniker.
