Here's mine

Round of 64: UAB, 2006 or 2007. Couldn't stand the thought of losing to these schlubs again. Tubby 10-0 in the first round.

Round of 32: Wichita State, 2014. Game of the tournament. Both sides throwing haymakers.

Round of 16: Louisville, 2014. Because Louisville. Close second: Indiana, 2012.

Round of 8: North Carolina, 2011. Finally beat them in the tournament. Very close second and third...Duke 1998 and Indiana 1975

Round of 4: Louisville, 2012. Because Louisville.

Championship game: Syracuse, 1996. Because it was my first as a diehard fan. That feeling when the guys were chanting "Tell me who's in the house tonight? YOO KAY!" is one I'll never forget.

Elite Eight v Duke in 1998 UK came back from the dead in that one down 17 with less than 10 mins. Favorite UK gm ever too.

Semis v. Wisconsin in 2014 Aarons clutch bomb with 5 tics left to put UK up 1 and then the Badgers miss at buzzer.

Finals 1998 beating Utah after trailing by 10 in 2nd half. As Jim Nantz exclaimed: "The Comeback Cats cannot be denied, Kentucky wins the Championship!"

Rd of 32 would be v KU in 99 The Hawks had a guard named Boesche then that was killing UK and then would stick his toungue out after made threes. It looked like UK was going to lose until a late step back 3 from Padgett sent the gm into OT where UK prevailed. I remember afterwards the camera was on Padgett and he stuck his toungue out to rub it in on that douchebag.

Sweet 16 Storming back v U of L in 2014 and dethroning the champs.
Harrisons baseline 3 to put UK up for good with 30 tics will always be remembered.

Opening rd: Prince hits gm tying 3 with 10 secs left or so in reg. Then UK beating the Bonnies in 2 OTs in 2000.

First: Washington 1985. We were lucky to even be in the tourney. We were a 12 seed, them a 5. Underdogs. I stayed up way late on a school night to see them win. Kenny walker put them on his back.

Second: UNLV 1985. If beating Washington was an upset, this was a miracle. They had future badass Armen Gilliam and Freddie Banks (thankfully there was no three point shot yet). 9th in the nation.

Third: Ohio State 2011. Brandon knight should get a statue on campus. And who can forget Jorts throwing that ball off Sullinger's chest. The game that made my girlfriend a fan.

Fourth: Florida State in 1993. I bought tickets to final four before the season. So it was a relief. And something to be said for a coronation win. Svoboda with the three.

Fifth: UMass in 1996. As great and storied as that team was, there was still doubt because of how good UMass was. Upstart Calipari over there. Marcus Camby was a great college player. First championship game in 18 years. Everyone showed up at Euclid and state and it was kinda organic.

Sixth: Utah in 1998. The worst 23-3 team in history battled back and won the whole damn thing. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. There's a lot of good dudes (and the coach) on that team who deserve some glory.

No way could I pick UNC 2011 over the Duke 1998 win. We finally got to exact a small measure of revenge and overcome the demons that still haunted us from 92. Plus, Scott Padgett came up huge and he was the only player on the team who said he remembered the game--like every other Kentucky kid he cried when Laettner hit the shot.

I watched the TV broadcast of that game recently (Thanks Billionth!) and it still gives me chills.

I'm not going to do all of them right now but I figured I would throw out at least 1. I would say the Sweet Sixteen against Notre Dame last year was probably my favorite. Quite possibly the most dominant Sweet Sixteen performance we have ever had. The beat down of Rodney Rogers and Wake Forest is a close second but I wouldn't argue with anyone that puts it at number 1.

Ahh. man a great thread, and wish my head felt better so I could put them all down, but I'm gonna wrap up my posting for tonight and give this a shot...

I'll go with saguaro cat's first two to start off. Then I'm gonna go with that Ohio State win with Knight's shot to give the killer blow to the Buckeyes. That was an instant classic.

Have to agree with those that said beating Duke in 98' was as fitting a elite eight win as I can remember. honorable mention (at least for me) would be the elite eight win we had over Illinois in 84'. Man Rupp arena was rocking like no other in that one .... No wonder the NCAA made it a nono after that tourney game for teams to ever again have a home court advantage in such a game like that .... Honrable mention #2 is beating IU in 75'. Waitaminute. Maybe that one should be top for an elite eight game. OK. IU first, Duke second and a secondary honorable mention for the illini game in 84'....

As for final four games .... Beating UofL is priceless. Will always be my favorite final four win of all time.

And for my favorite title game? Give me 1978, beating Duke and remembering how golden the goose was. My first title to remember, and one worthy of an all time favorite !

good thread, OP, keep em' comin' !

64: St. Bonaventure- OT game for team turmoil. Closest Tubby came to losing in 1st round
32: Witchita State- Best game of the 2014 tournament
16: Wake Forest 1993: In the words of Dick Stockton- "a withering performance"
8: Indiana 1975: The only game they lost in two years--- Goose was great here as a freshman
4: Stanford 1998: thrilling overtime game
Championship: 1978, the best team for four years running got their title

Rd 64- Tulsa (2002)
Rd 32- Wichita St (2014)
Sweet 16- Indiana (2012)
Elite 8- Duke (1998)
Final 4- Louisville (2012)
Championship- Syracuse (1996)

Okay, I change my Elite Eight from UNC 2011 to Duke 1998. If I was older I'd probably pick IU 75.

Man, we've been blessed.

64: WKU in 2012, only because I was at the game and most first round games aren't that great.
32: Wichita state 2014, but the 1999 Kansas game was a great one as well.
16: Ohio State 2011. Took down the overall #1 seed in a phenomenal game.
8: Duke, 1998. Exorcised some demons in one of the best comeback victories in our history.
4: UMass 1996. The real national title, and avenged one of our only two losses. Beat every team we played.
C: Syracuse 1996. My first title, and sealed the best season in UK history.

Look at all the candidates....

Round of 32: Washington 1985, Iowa 1997, Kansas 1999, Tulsa 2001, Cincinnati 2005, Wake Forest 2010, WVU 2011, Wichita 2014.

Round of 16: Indiana 1983, Louisville 1984, Wake Forest 1993, UCLA 1998, Wisconsin 2003, Ohio State 2011, Indiana 2012, Louisville 2014, West Virginia 2015.

Round of 8: Indiana 1975, Michigan State 1978, Illinois 1984, Florida State 1993, Utah 1997, Duke 1998, North Carolina 2011, Michigan 2014, Notre Dame 2015.

Round of 4: Arkansas 1978, UMass 1996, Minnesota 1997, Stanford 1998, Louisville 2012, Wisconsin 2014.
