Young Cats need a healthy Poythress

He seems confident that he will be playing by the season opener. I think he plays some but will not be at 100 percent before December. ACL injuries usually take a year but 11 months should be enough for him to seem some court time.

If we are going to compete for a title, we have to have Poythress on the court healthy. I just hope he hasn't lost some of his explosiveness. Watching Poythress go up and grab a rebound that you didn't think he had a chance at was awesome to see. Poythress adds that muscle and strength we're going to need to match up with teams with good frontcourts. A Poythress and Skal frontcourt is going to be so fun to watch play.

Just don't want him to rush back and get hurt again.

He needs to be brought along slowly, IMHO. He needs to get back by January in order to have some time to shake the rust off. November and December aren't as important. Cal can afford to bring him back slowly with Lee being on the team. Gives Lee a chance to get some major minutes early and also gives Humphries more minutes inside.

We need Poythress at 100% in March, not November.

We need him to give the effort that comes with being a team leader.

I'm ready to see him when he's 100%.

We'll need him against Duke though.

We will be fine without him. Sure I would rather have him against Duke, but that game doesn't matter that much in the grand scheme of things. I am more concerned with him being ready in March.

Will AP be a SR. technically this yr? But since he got injured last yr will he have another yr left after this? Can't remember if he was going to be a Jr. or Sr. last yr. Wonder if he will want to come back another year if he had the chance.

Hate to beat a dead horse but would have loved to have him matched up on Dekker. I'll never let that one go. Did a great job on him in 2014.
