You guys be safe

Thanks Grump...looks like 5-8 inches here in Central KY. Maybe a little more and it's bitter cold. My daughter who lives in Athens was coming up today and visit but I told her not to come. I hate winter.

It's nothing unless your daughter who you haven't seen since Christmas was coming home for a few days. I hate winter.

Snow equals no travel. No travel means no working. No working means no money. I hate winter!

We have about eight inches here just south of Berea. Nws cast just said. That its possible to end with up to eighteen inches. I thank God that its not a wet snow wich is horrendous. In breaking down trees and powerlines. Just gonna set back and be thankful things are as well as they are.

Here in Hardin County, we had nothing around 4:00 AM. By 9:00, we were up to five inches. By this evening, they're talking approximately 12 inches.

Here in north Georgia, just clouds for now, according to Chattanooga where I am we aren't going to get snow, just sleet and freezing rain, oh joy. Went to store yesterday, just in case, to get some things to eat if power goes out and not a slice of bread in 2 major grocery stores. Do people do that in Kentucky? Mention snow here and ovens can't bake bread fast enough, and apparently cows can't produce milk fast enough either. Normally I don't eat bread of any kind or would have gotten some on grocery shopping day.

Grumpy you are a true gentleman. Nashville thought we would get snow. . we got ice instead . . it might get ugly later. KY is getting bombed.

I live in Central Ky(45 miles due south of the Hardin County guy above). The heavy snow got here 2 hrs early this am and was suppose to have left about 2 hours ago-still coming down hard. It's like those relatives/friends/especially UL fans that show up early and stay late.

It only got cold here in Charleston. 39 today, 59 tomorrow, 74 (yes, SEVENTY FOUR) on Sunday. I'm originally from Tennessee. Growing up, we didn't bother with scrambling for bread...just made sure we had enough flour for biscuits! And sorghum. Homemade butter spread on biscuits with some sorghum can't be beat.
