Not anymore. Fortner is 6'4", UK C from a few years ago(name escapes me) was taller than that and is in the NFL. Impressive to me with this guy is he runs really well, very quick off the line.

Toth was 6-5. Fortner was listed at 6-6. Both were All-SEC. Keenum can be as good or better than those guys.

Athletic requirements for an Otackle and a center are different, of course. If evaluating Keenum as a future center, his tools are impressive. He is smart, flexible, and can get to the 2nd level to block Lbackers.

Will be a center at UK. Kid is rated the #3 center in the class. The pitch to him was that Cox will be a senior his freshman year and then you take the reigns the following year. This kid is a stud. Great pickup

NFL needs guys big enough to be guards and centers, 53 man roster isn't big enough to carry a guy like Drake who can only play 1 of the 5 O line spots. The pro personnel guys loved Drake, but he was just too limited with his size.

Drake was a better center than Luke Fortner. But Fortner became a 3rd round highly valued pro prospect because he was a very good guard as well

Hopefully Keenum can have the same successful development at guard & center as well, def has the size part.

You have to remember that UK uses really tall practice shoes. This was picked up from the basketball team. Surprised that we don't have more ankle injuries as a result.
