Lose a road game against a team with the best player in the country, and almost every thread on this board is negative. I understand that as a fan you hate when the cats lose but some of the stuff I read is just flat out ridiculous. Quit crying! 4 .... 4 final fours in 6 years. But I read "we would be better off with 5th year grad transfers" haha. How many of them final four teams had a fifth year grad transfer? I read "Cal has given up on this team". Cal ain't gonna quit on his guys! Some of the people who started these awful threads might have quit on the team. Not me! Can't wait til Saturday! Win or lose I back the cats! I was really really aggravated with there play Tuesday night but I believe they will be fine. Maybe they won't but I won't ever quit on them! Go Cats!!

Agree and good point. Spoiled! Lose a game and all hell breaks lose. It's fans like that don't deserve to root for 2012, 2015 and 2017 teams.

Duke was beat by this embarrassing team, how do you think they feel? Must suck to be Duke and get beat by a pathetic team like ours.

I get that we are spoiled as a fan base. But, we can expect effort. It is not fair to compare any team to previous teams, but every team should put forth effort. Last night, 2, 3, maybe 4 kids put the effort that the jersey deserves.

It has nothing to do with bandwagon fans. We ate Joe Hall alive, beat Tubby down and were on kill with Billy Gillispie.

Before Pitino won in 96 there were already whispers of "can't win the big one" stemming from the 93 loss and not guarding the inbound pass in the 92 game.

Our fanbase is equal parts awesome and suck. A good portion of BBN is lemming like in nature and they are too high during the highs, and too low during the lows. That hasn't changed and isn't a social media age or bandwagon condition either.

Actually, that is a Wildcat characteristic since forever. We so hate to lose. In the past, we just moaned about it to our kids or our friends. now there is a medium where we can all moan about it, fire the coach, and recruit the players. I just pass over the crying and read the good stuff.

We are spoiled we cheer for the best college basketball team in the country. After a loss none of us like it. For me personally I have stayed off here since a little into the second half of the game. My biggest gripe is this team has no heart right now. Our big guys just flat out quit. If a team is better on a given night fine, but there is no excuse for lack of effort.

Haha. I know what you mean. But this is why we're spoiled. You've already assumed the 2017 is on the same level as the 12 and 15 teams before they ever step on the court together.

It's not that we lost, it's how we lost. LSU has lost 5 games already this year to weak teams and they blow us out. Anyone would question as to why.

I disagree. I don't think people are complaining about losing, since most of us thought we would lose 5-6 games this year. (May adjust that to 3-4 more) But I think everyone is griping about how we played. A 3 or 4 pt loss in a hard played game, on the road, while disappointing, doesn't mean a whole lot in the overall scheme of things. However, lose by 18, with not a lot of effort from your frontline, 1-7 foul shooting from one of your guards, and still no improvement by your prized recruit, and that changes things. Most on here are not bad fans. They are passionate, and with that comes great joy with winning, and great heartache with losing. There are some knee jerk threads on here, but most are accurate criticisms that are going to have to change, or at least, improve, if this team is going to last past the first weekend of the tournament.
