Paul Pierce hits an impossible 3 to tie the game for the Wizards, but it turned out it was a thousandth of a second after the buzzer...Hawks win

Biggest play of the game -- Nene choking two free throws when the Wizards had come back from 15 down to take the lead. Wall missed one as well.

I absolutely hate to see guys making double-digit millions choke away the season missing shots you expect seventh graders to make.

the wizards are moving in the right direction. i actually liked their recent additions as it gave them a chance to maximize this year. they will still have moving parts going forward. but i thought them getting pierce was brilliant. a clutch player, just missed it by a fraction.

The whole team aside from JW and Beal could be shipped away. Amazing to think they could have had Nerlens, 2 out of Klay Thompson, Kawih Lenorad and Kenneth Faried.

We'll see what they do with the cap space goes way up. They can pick up some major top talent.

Didn't really watch too much of wizard this year, but Wall keeps improving then they'll have some good chances moving forward.

That would be quite something if Durant went to the Wizards after next season. KD, Wall, and Beal would be their big 3, and hopefully they have good pieces around them (I imagine Pierce will be retired).

Wiz's problem is they have 1 more years of Nene's contract. Pierce may or may not be retiring but Otto Porter looks like he's ready to be a starting SF. The roster they have is probably not going to be able to change much (maybe some bench pieces but nothing major).

It all boils down to do they have the $$$ to get a big time piece on the front court when Nene's contract is off the books. Is Durant an option, could they garner a big time PF if they whiff on Durant.

Thought Wall made a really bad decision to attempt to draw contact instead of laying the ball in and taking the easy two in the last minute , sure enough misses one of the FT's . He clearly had the layup but waited for the D to get there .

wall and durant in transition together would be unfair. i'd seriously pay to see that.

Such a bummer that Pierce's shot was just a bit after the buzzer

Right. Nene is fine but not at his current price. For that money, they could attract quite the upgrade. They need that off the books.

No one has mentioned that Pierce was out of bounds also.....that ref would have counted the shot. The only one who recognized it was the Hawks radio guy.....makes you question the validity of any of these refs these days.

Instant replay saved the Hawks, and a great night for those of us in Atlanta.....its been too long waiting for this to happen.

On to Lebron and taking down the King......
