How can you predict them to make the Final Four without knowing what bracket they are in? What if they are in UK's bracket?Originally posted by caneintally:
as i said in another thread they are one of the two picks i have for making the final 4 . They might of lost at Tech but they are a great team.

I don't think they have faced a defense like UK.
Teams that can slow the game down and hit the 3. Wisconson is very dangerous. From what I have seen Iowa St. plays fast like UNC which does not worry me.Originally posted by STUCKNBIG10:
I think Iowa St. is a tough team. I'm not scared of seeing them in our draw, but they wouldn't be my first choice.
Any team that can shoot lights-out from 3 is a concern.
There's very little evidence of that. To make FF's/win titles, you need to be excellent on both ends, but historically, it's been slightly more important to excel offensively.Originally posted by MdWIldcat55:
"I think the easiest coaching philosophy in the world is
to play a low-possession game. Hold the ball, keep the score down,
preach defense and rebounding, pray that some of your guys make some
shots. It can work, but more often than not, it leads to mediocrity that
sucks to watch. I think it's far tougher to do what Hoiberg does, which
is give his guys some freedom, let them make plays, take some gambles,
and make it all work."
It is also a lot easier to play 'Let er rip" basketball when you are coaching a program with little history and modest expectations trying to rise. If you lose a few games, everyone understands and pats you on the back when you have one of those nights when it all comes together and you beat a ranked team 100-96. So what if your shooting is off the next game and you lose to East Tech.
When you are at a program already at the top, and the expectation is to get to the Final Four every year, you need a system that maximizes your chance to win every game, even on an off night offensively. And that invariably starts on the defensive end, not the offensive end.
Unless their defense improves they're not making it past the Sweet 16. They're ranked 121 in adjusted defense.Originally posted by caneintally:
