Copied from KSR. What record do we need to win? 4-1 would mathematically get us there (14-4), Unless LSU goes 5-0 (unlikely), with our loss being at home vs LSU. Given that 15-3 or 14-4 are unlikely for any team in the SEC, 13-5 or possibly even 12-6 could claim top spot. I think A&M will go 5-0 (with our injuries and short turn around, I dont see us pulling it off. If healthy, yes) and be at 13-5. Meaning we have to go 3-1. We could do that, and that's what I predict. South Carolina doesnt have a particularly difficult schedule, but they're fading.

My predictions:
1. Texas A&M 13-5 (win out)
2. Kentucky 13-5 (3-2, tiebreaker loss vs A&M)
3. South Carolina 12-6
4. LSU 11-7
5. Florida 11-7/10-8

KENTUCKY (10-3)

Home: Alabama, LSU
Away: Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Florida
COMBINED: 39-26

LSU (9-4)
Home: Florida, Missouri
Away: Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky
COMBINED: 31-33

SOUTH CAROLINA (8-5)
Home: Florida, Tennessee, Georgia
Away: Mississippi St, Arkansas
COMBINED: 29-35

TEXAS A&M (8-5)
Home: Kentucky, Mississippi St, Vanderbilt
Away: Missouri, Auburn
COMBINED: 28-37

FLORIDA (8-5)
Home: Vanderbilt, Kentucky
Away: South Carolina, LSU, Missouri
COMBINED: 37-28

We are 10-3 & have 5 games left. If we go 3-2, then our final record would be 13-5.

LSU is currently at 9-4, no one else is better than 8-5. So LSU could only lose 1 game. Anyone else would have to run the table.

Probably. I don't see Texas A&M running the table, based on their recent results. They seem to be slightly allergic to success.

A&M has a VERY favorable schedule. They have three home games and their two road games are against the two worst teams in the conference. If we want to win the conference regular season, we probably need to win Saturday.

If we want to win it out right yes But we could lose and still win it and share it . Saturday is not a must win but if we lose every game after is . If we win Saturday I feel confident we win out and win the SECT . It is saturday that is up in the air . Does Texas A&M play like the top 10 talent they possess ? Does Lee play? Do we get up the hot shooting ? Lots of ?????

Favorable, yes. But games tend to get tougher when titles are on the line.

If UK wins on Saturday I think I will be more impressed with job Cal has done with this team then any other. No great post presence , tons and tons of injuries and the worst refs I have ever seen and we are still on a path to a final 4 . But still most of the country thinks he can't coach when i fact at the very worst he is a top 3 coach in college.

Our road games at Vandy and Florida are toss-ups. They will be tough. Vandy will probably hit everything they throw up and will shoot 45 free throws. We NEVER get a reasonable whistle down there. That's why I think Saturday is almost a must win in order to win the conference.
