Payne is my guess. He is ready. I do think Pastner from Memphis will be on the staff with in 2 years. He is done at UM. He has cut off the media and cancelled mid night madness. Now the media down here is out to get him.

He is a much better recruiter then Barb. So I think he would be a huge asset when he does get here. Some think Past will move on to another HC job. I think after the beating he will take this year down here him and his young family will run to Lexington.

It will be Kenny Payne absolutely. I'm sure he's been offered a ton of gigs but I'm sure he is waiting for the right one.

Thanks louisville

Not good signs.

Kenny Payne will be the next Kentucky assistant to get a head coaching job. He has already been seriously considered for several vacant jobs. When Kenny goes, that will be a big loss for us. He is a strong recruiter and a great position coach for our bigs. Barbee wants to be a head coach again, but will need a couple of years in Lexington to rehab his value in the basketball world. The Auburn experience damaged him as a future head coaching candidate. I get the feeling Robic may stay with Calipari for the duration. Kentucky assistant coaches are paid and treated so well that all will be very selective about leaving. As for the next addition to Calipari's staff, I will be surprised if it is Pastner. There may be some bad blood there. Aside from that, Calipari has a lot of options at any given time, but it will take a strong resume for anyone to be hired by Kentucky. Under the right circumstances, might keep an eye on several former Kentucky players. Not saying 1 of them will get the job, but it's possible. Some people might point to Macy or Pelphrey, but I think Mashburn or Delk might make sense under certain circumstances.
