I was wondering why so many players who seemingly has no chance to be drafted were placing their names in draft regardless. Come to find out, NBA teams are now able to place two additional players on their teams to take up 2 roster spots on both their D league team and regular roster. Those two will be protected and can be called up exclusively for their team. Is this correct or am I missing something. Also, these individuals don't have to be drafted come find out, but invited to play for summer NBA league or d leagues. How will this now affect NCAA basketball and is this good or bad.

Good for the players, but we won't know how it'll affect the college game (if it even does) for probably three or four years.

Great for the players, probably won't make much difference in college.

With minimum salaries as high as they are now, even marginal guys are gonna be multi-millionaires after a few years. This is great for guys like Harrison, Poy maybe Liggins. This createst 60 more NBA players. What a boon for some players.

It affects a different class of players, I think. If I'm Bam, this doesn't sway me at all. I work to improve my draft stock. If I'm Briscoe, I see more opportunity to leave.

Provided they act right with their money.
With as many vultures as those guys have circling their bank accounts, they can burn through it pretty quick and have nothing left.
