These 3 teams are well less talented than we are.....and we play all 3 at home. Surely, we can't sleep on UL, but we should beat them handily. On a sides note, EKU may be interesting......several former UK players now playing for EKU and, of course, the recent "bar incident."
"Coulda"
-Vandy - away. New OC. They were quite poor last yr and are trying to force a style of play that will take a few more yrs to get up and running.
-MSU - away. Mullen is a really good coach and they've recruited very well....and it's in Starkville. However, they have lost a ton of guys in their 2 deep.
-UL - home. A home rivalry and the teams are fairly evenly matched in talent.
-UT - home. We are trending up......so is UT. (but UT is trending ultra-fast) For 2015, the game still is winnable at home.
-UF - home. New coach. New systems across the board. Changing styles of play. And it's at home. It's fairly early before UF can possibly improve. UF has talent, no doubt, but this game is winnable.
-Missou - home. "If" UK is 3-0 coming into a home game against Missou, the Cats will be hyped.
-USC - away. I honestly am torn between putting this in the "coulda or woulda" category. USC is more talented and has a great coach......and it's away.......but for some reason we tend to play them well.
"Woulda"
-UGA - away. UGA is away.....and will be more talented than us. Their running game is kryptonite for us.
-Auburn - home. The Tigers have recruited extremely well over the past several yrs.
Outlook:
-I don't think there will be a position outside of the DE position that will be improved for 2015......but how much? We will have much needed depth as well......which I feel that lack of depth is what was one of the main driving forces behind our slide towards the end of last yr. We will win a game or two that we aren't expected to. And we will have 1-2 mild blow-outs......not the 63-17 variety, but more like 38-17. Overall I think we get 6-8 regular season wins......and then springboard the season to a top 15-20 recruiting class.
