When Cal took the job, UNC was FOUR games behind Kentucky, coming off a national championship, and there was a pinned thread at the top of Inside Carolina in which posters predicted the game in which the Tarheels would become No. 1 in college basketball. There was even a debate about which program would be the first to 2,000 wins.

In the six seasons since then, Kentucky has picked up a net 34 games on UNC, won a National Championship and several conference championships, made the Final Four FOUR times, won the race to 2,000 wins, and has been restored as the top brand name in college basketball. During that span, the cheaters have won nothing, been to zero Final Fours, and have witnessed the permanent destruction of their reputation as a clean program.

Anyone who wants to say something negative about Cal or his coaching -- overall, or in any given game -- should ponder those words, then repent your foolishness.

The gap in winning percentage is the most impressive thing. North Carolina, with the second best winning percentage, would have to win 343 games in a row to catch our current winning percentage. Alternately, we would have to lose 108 games in a row to fall to their percentage.

Poor IU would have to win ONE THOUSAND SIXTY FIVE straight games to match our winning percentage.
