....or, subtract one idiotic technical called by an imbecile, and give Ulis another chance at that last possession at Kansas, and is Kentucky a 1 seed? Would have a better record than Virginia, the same record as Kansas and a head-to-head win, and the same record as Oklahoma but a win over Kansas not two losses.

Not crying over spilt milk, just pointing out how close the Cats are to he perceived 1 line teams.

I usually don't play that game, but I see what you're saying and agree.

It's possible though that this team is now stronger having gone through such adversity.

Of the seven games we've lost, we should've really only lost the UCLA and LSU games. Those teams just flat out played us. We weren't ready to play. We had large leads in the Auburn and UT games and let up. No way we should've lost either. Ohio State played WAY over their heads and we overlooked them. We simply got screwed in OT games at Kansas and Texas A&M. We should've won all five of these games, but at least three of them. And yes, we would be a 1 seed right now had at least three of these games broken differently.

Yes and we are without a doubt a more dangerous team than those 7 loses suggests. If we play like we did before A&M then we can and should cut down the nets. I've been saying it but this team reminds me of the UCONN team that went on the win the NC a couple years ago. They were tight, suffered setbacks and pulled it out. Gotta get Willis back.

As long as we get DW back healthy and Poy can stay healthy. I am extremely confident in our chances no matter what our seed is come tournament time for one simple reason (obvisously other reasons also) but the Main reason.

Tyler Ulis :boxing:

This team is really good. I think the committee will look at the home cooking in Phixed Allen and the joke T against A&M and seed us higher than most think.

Maybe, but if the past seedlings show anything, they'll do the opposite and screw us given the chance.

I definitely see your point. Despite a couple losses, the last 10 games, they've looked like a 1-seed that caught a couple bad breaks. Not complaining, just saying I see them as a top tier team, especially in a year filled with mediocrity.

I think they are; Cal is the perfect coach to use the losses to motivate and improve young players.

If we're a 4, expect the 1, 2, and 3 team's fan bases to throw an absolute fit. I doubt anyone out there is just dying to go up against undeniably the best PG in the nation and arguably the best SG too.

Take away the Auburn and UT losses and we are in a really different position,we were should have won those two games,we failed to take advantage of what was right in front of us.I understand those who say those losses help make us who we are right now but i don't buy that because we were up double digits at Auburn just about mid second half and up 21 on UT.

Those losses did more damage than they did good,no matter how you slice it.

All we can do is look forward. We have looked good without Alex for 5 games. We have looked good without Willis for 1 game. With them both we should look outstanding. If we march into the Sweet 16 and beyond we won't worry about those tough losses.

I believe winning the Kansas and Texas A&M games -- both OT games in which the Cats played pretty well -- would have helped more with the committee when it came to potentially getting a 1 seed than winning at Auburn and Tennessee. Kansas, especially, would have been a road win over a team perceived as a 1 seed. You don't get a more quality win than that.
No doubt those would have been big wins and we were in position to pull them off(even with our "B" game at A&M) My point with the AU and UT games is that we had those games under control and we are better than to let them slip away. A crap call on a non basketball play changed way too much at A&M the committee should (they won't) consider that.

It really is a matter of a few minutes of game play, between a #5 seed and a #1 seed. Even worse, the officiating alone could be the difference. Huge factors in 4 of our losses.
