Reminds me of the shot in the arm we got in 1997 when Scott Padgett came in and started swishing jumpers. It has added a dimension that has visibly removed some of the stress off of other players.

Willis is awesome. Need that consistent effort from him and skal if we're going to make a run.

Derek Willis hopefully does what Jeremy Lamb did for UCONN. J Lamb was a thin stretch four who could shoot and was vital to uconn's run. Jeremy Lamb and Willis have similar games IMO.

There's a lot of threads because it's a great f'ing story. Kinda like how Ravi Moss progressed while he was here. I want nothing more than for this kid to turn into an 18pt/game scorer. Might not be a superstar NBA talent, but he could end up being a great college player. He's nearly 6'10" shooting 3's like that.

i simply don't understand how people would not root for him and be giddy at his development. I really think that some would rather be "right", and aren't overjoyed at the revelation that he is a weapon.

We have basically dominated since he has started. Whatever the reason for that, he is a big part of it.

Sincerely, Bank Cat the unabashed "fanboi".

Willis is automatic from the free throw line and is doing a little bit of everything well. Rebounding ,deflecting passes and shooting very well. Saturday will be a good test for him hope he keeps it up.

Willis is ABSOLUTELY talented enough to play in the NBA as well as he glides around the court. ABSOLUTELY.
