Ole Miss ? He will have 2 weeks worth of practice time by next Saturday. We were out rebounded by 13 on our home court against the Cards. Lee and Poythress play hard and are 6-9 and 6-8, but if Skal isn't quite ready to bang underneath, and for some reason Humphries isn't playing now, we will need the Lumberjack to play some valuable minutes. We do go to LSU after the OM game.

Yes I would bet money on it . Humphries will play some but not against teams who have bigs like Onuwaku who are very athletic . Humph's star will shine in his 2nd and 3rd years here and then he will be a very high draft pick as he is very skilled true NBA center. Remember the kid is really a high school senior.

There is no way to know. Anyone who has followed this recruit should be aware that Wynward himself talked about red-shirting this season. He does not seem to have any great need to be a one and done or one and a half and done. He may be a project as I didn't like the comments from Kenny Payne that Wynward was "out of shape." Out of shape? I thought he just came from playing some type of regional tournament in New Zealand. He may be like Skal, previously playing against sisters of the poor as competition and may not be ready for real physical players. I doubt he plays ahead of Poy, Lee, Willis, Humphries, or even Skal.

If he is to play, what we need is to get a big lead on a team and that is likely when Cal will put him in a game.

Maybe we will learn more about Tai over the next couple weeks. Did hear Cal say he has been what they need already in practice as far as physical play. Just behind and not in UK playing shape. Cal also aside he was a better player than he thought with skill. Sounds positive. I also still hold hope Mulder will continue to mature and add

Was he dressed out and on the bench yesterda? I tried to spot him in the telecast but couldn't tell if he was there or not.

Payne did not say he was in bad shape, said he had to get into something like UK shape. In shape for the style we play. Makes sense, kid isnt physically gifted enough to come in contribute right now. Bang and grind is about what we should expect, when it comes.

I've always thought Ole Miss would be his first game.

Depends on how much we are ahead though, obviously.

He was dressed.

If Hump doesn't play, I don't see how/why Tai plays.

Tai might be the better player......we are a productive big man short of a full deck.
Tall and wide are good qualifications if you have bb talent and IQ.

Folks are really jumping the gun wanting this kid to play too soon. Do you guys not realize he hasn't even had two weeks of practice? He's months behind his teammates, and it takes a damn long time for a player to learn the plays and the system here.

Tai may end up being a damn good player here, and perhaps even this season, but I doubt we'll really see much of it until around February. It takes a while for a newbie to figure it out.
