Will Levis gives a tour of the practice facility

It is a damn nice facility, always impressive to see. I felt so good when this finally got built, as it kind of marks the moment I felt the UK administration really became serious about competing in football. Now we have football facilities that compare pretty favorably against anything out there, while being far better than most. We've come a long way since the days we'd drag out the folding tables and chairs and place them in the corners of the E.J. Nutter Center when hosting recruits.

Speaking of the practice facility, has anyone been over to the old baseball stadium and can give an update on the progress in building the new indoor track facility. I wonder what the time table is for removing the track from the field house.

It took a really good coach quitting and another on the verge of leaving before the promise was finally fulfilled. Pretty crazy. Guess better late than never

I was in this exact area on a recruiting visit in 2013-2014. Couldn’t believe this was the recruiting area lol man, have things changed for UK Football.

That's it, as far as I know. The one the nearby city college recruits kept making fun of.

And some fans still wonder why our football program went through the TWO two OOC nobody win seasons. And yeah, I still believe there would have been MORE money available for the NON-revenue sports if even a decent amount of the money that football EARNED had been invested back in the program.

You should thank the approx 20,000 season ticket holders that had season tickets in their family for generations that FORCED the changes by not renewing their tickets. Also the OTHER SEC ADs that did support the money cow so our football program didn't go broke.

So, did you commit to UK after seeing the "recruiting room"? I remember it in the picture without carpet, with concrete floors, how was it when you visited?

I take it all back, mitch is my hero too.

Weird, we didn’t support the money cow and other SEC programs did but we’ve been as successful or more successful than Florida, Missouri, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miss State, Arkansas, and Tennessee these last 4-5 years. We are one of the few profitable athletic programs in the country. It’s almost like you’re talking out of your ass.
