Just concluded the 2 year deal with UCLA.

There was talk that the UK - UNC series would resume after UCLA.

But with the ACC moving to 20 games and Roy pretty much saying that the series will not be renewed, does Calipari look for another home and home opponent?

I seem to remember someone from UK a few years ago saying that they wanted to have one big time non conference game a year in Rupp. Think that is why UK and UNC took a year off so that either Louisville or North Carolina would play in Rupp each season.

So with the announcement of the extension of the CBS Sport Classic, that would seem to eliminate UNC and UCLA as home and home opponents.

Already have Kansas, Duke, and Michigan State in the Champions Classic.

So, do we think that Calipari will seek out another home and home, and if so, who would it be?

Really wouldn't be surprised to see Villanova or Arizona pop up on the schedule.

Arizona was going to be my first guess. He has that connection with Miller.

Hope we KU and UK work something out if they don't just keep us paired in the big 12 v SEC challenge.

That's what I'm thinking, someone Cal has a connection with.

He seems to be close to Steve Alford and I'm guessing that friendship is the reason for the UCLA series.

I know he's friends with Sean Miller, and I think he's pretty close with Jay Wright as well.

We will have a road game in the Sec/big 12 challenge, guessing it's either Kansas or Baylor

How about a Home and Home with Louisville?
Or Michigan State?
We already play Kansas this year. Hell bring on Arizona!

We play Kansas in the champions and its 99% that we play west virginia in the big12/SEC

Even though it's ever gonna happen I really want a home and home with Duke. Too bad K is scared to go outside of Cameron during OOC unless he's required to.

More realistically I'd love a home and home with Arizona or Michigan State. Miller and Cal seem to be good friends and I have a lot of respect for Izzo and the Michigan State program

Cal and Hugs are boys and a WVU/UK game has been in the works for a while. I think they are trying to work it out though where it is maybe 2 at Rupp 1 in Morgantown, 1 neutral.

I'd like to see the neutral site game be in Pikeville.

I hope not. We would probably have as many fans in WV as they did. It really wouldn't be a true road game

I don't think we are going to see a new series this year due to the experience of the team. Cal may keep the schedule light as he can until he sees who is on the team.

Doubt it. Cal doesn't really care about piling up useless cupcake wins.

vs Louisville
vs Kansas (Champion's Classic - Chicago)
vs UCLA (CBS Sports - New Orleans)
SEC/Big 12 Challenge

Those are already on the schedule. The question was do you think he will add a home and home to that. I don't think so based on the team he has coming in. The year after you could see a new home and home if he has returning players

I wouldn't mind or be surprised if we didn't try and add someone like Illinois. With Antiqua on staff there now it could happen. That would be another power 5 team on our schedule with a more than reasonable shot of victory on the road and almost assured of a W at home.
