Based on about two minutes of research (LOL), it appears no head coach has ever signed a $100,000,000 contract. Is there any chance Coach Cal becomes the first, and at Kentucky?

I imagine the first thing you have to ask is "can Kentucky afford it?" I'd guess the answer is yes. Last year (2014-15), Kentucky's athletics department generated $117 million in revenue (14th nationally). That number seems to rise every year.

Next, does any coach have a similar contract? I couldn't find one (not even Saban or Meyer), but it looks like Coach K makes just short of $10 million a year. So paying Coach Cal a salary similar to K's shouldn't be considered too ridiculous.

So, when this season ends, what if Mitch Barnhart has to outbid somebody to keep Cal? Would he consider a 10-year, $100,000,000 deal? Ten million a year for ten years. As of now (his current UK contract), it looks like Cal will be making eight million a year from 2019-2022. Would UK consider adding two million a year to those numbers?

Damn, that's a ton of money (LOL). I would imagine Cal could easily get a ten year, $80 million deal. Wonder if Mitch would consider a nine figure contract.

GBB!!!
