Would like to make sure I eat, sleep, visit a Kentucky dream. Is there a hotel I should try to get into? What restaurants should we make sure we hit? What stores sell the best Kentucky apparel? Any and all information is very appreciated

If you goto a game in Rupp, just be sure to take a spare (big) plastic bag/plastic trash bag to put your coats in when you get seated.

I always suggest that, because I've forgotten that and always regretted it when I goto games there.

The Hyatt is right next door to rupp.....its very nice.

If you want chicken wings, Wing Zone on southland drive is one of my favs.

If you want pizza, Joe Bologna's is cool.

Hamburg is kinda out of the way but it's a newly developed part of town with several options for shopping and restaurants.

Merrick Inn is a great low-key restaurant with great quality food with a local theme. It's not a hamburger joint or chain. Middle/upscale. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Best wings in town are at indi's. 670 n Broadway, downtown.

Ramsey's is quick and good.
Charlie Browns for hot pepper cheese and a White Russian.

Been staying at the Hyatt recently and love the ease. Take the elevator down and your at the best college basketball tailgate.

My favorite place is Bourbon 'n' Toulouse. Pazzo's (pizza and beer, basically) is fun if you don't mind really slow service and Tolly Ho is about as "college" a place as there is. Miss it's old location, I used to have a two minute walk to the Ho from my dorm before they moved.

Merrick inn is our favorite spot in town. Make sure you have a reservation 859 269-5417. Tony's has the best steak hands down...pricey but worth it, just across from Rupp.
Tour the grounds at Keeneland, prettiest race track in the country. Have breakfast at the track kitchen... Best buiscuits & gravy ANYWHERE!
Visit Adolph Rupp's grave at the Lexington Cemetery...beautiful spot.
Have fun...enjoy the southern hospitality!

I like to visit Pazzos for the beer list. Food has been hit and miss but never terrible for me. About fifteen minutes walk from Rupp.

Joe Balogna's is my favorite place. Old church a walk down from Rupp and always packed. Great place.
