Yeah this loss sucks super ass right now because they actually locked in the last 5 minutes and then Rob carried them. Blowing the 15 point lead like it was just nothing but a thing was what killed them. You could see it was lost as soon as they tied it. Ref Fest 2024 kicked off and you had to know it was rock fight to the wire time.

Of course you go at 6-7, maybe 8 at the earliest to give yourself time to rebound but not 15 and leave them that much time. Maybe he told them or maybe not but if not it’s 100% bad time management at the end. Congrats to lsu for taking advantage of it but you never give them that much time.

And in your scenario the game is over if he misses and they grab a defensive rebound. When you're losing by 1 with under 10 seconds to go you don't have the luxury of being cute with the clock, this isn't the NFL where you can kick a walkoff FG with 1 second left.

Does it even matter? Either we hold late and miss the shot and have no time for a rebound or we hit the shot late and they race down and still score. We DO NOT win these games with CCC. We are now like 2-28 in the last 30 games where we’ve had a shot to win at the end. That’s coaching. He’s the only constant throughout those 30 games.
