This was answered a while back. The SEC changed the scheduling cycle this year. Among other things, each team will have 3 permanent (home-and-home) rivals now. UT and Vanderbilt were added as our permanent rivals along with previous Florida. The scheduling change introduced some inconsistencies:
"There may be some occasion where a team played another institution just once and they could possibly end up again in that scenario on the road again. But just know that over time that will balance out and every team will have an equal number of home and road games.”
Well look at it this way. A&M has to come to Rupp next year and they are losing four seniors that start for this team. So expect a blow out win next year over A&M.
