Why didn't Cal recruit Colin Sexton?

Late bloomer, Cal was all in on the other 2 PG's before this kid blew up. Avery Johnson got the steal of his life!
What about Duval? Duval is better than Green too according to ESPnot. Why we got the 3rd best guy?
Duval is a major question mark to be academically eligible.
He's at IMG Academy now, but before that he was at Advanced Prep, which had ties to Prime Prep before it closed, and the NCAA said they wouldn't accept classes from API. It's why guys like Duval and Billy Preston left.
No man. I love this Vanderbilt kid. He is a slightly less athletic but taller MKG. Team USA was plus 15 when he was on the floor and Bibby benched Carter for him. Dude is way underated initial rankings had him top 10 but dropped him when he was hurt last summer.
I don't see that at all. Patterson couldn't handle the ball or pass like Vanderbilt can.
I think your right about Green being a plan B up until the middle of last summer. At that point I think Cal was willing to take 1st to commit and might have even started preferring Green once he realized who all he could potentially attract to follow him to Kentucky.
I think duval is a big question mark and knowing cal could get diallo and maybe bamba with green I think he made th right choice. Fox was also the 3rd best pg and he turned out ok. I think sexton wants to be the man and he will be that in Alabama and willl have a few good players surrounding him. I also think the fact Avery Johnson played and coached in the NBA helped sway him there. Look at dermis smith jr. The kid was a stud and in the backyard for either puke or Carolina but chose dreaded nc state. I think part of the reason was to be the man but i think he thought bam would follow him therebwhich didn't happen
Vanderbilt is a super stud. He's been thought of highly in his class since he was an 8th grader. He's not less athletic than mkg by no means. He and Diallo will be nightmare slasher's next season
Sexton is a major wow. Best all-around player in the class. Off the charts energy.
All I know is last night Vanderbilt looked like he was easily top 5 in the class and that is basically without a jump shot yet. Very similar to MKG but a lefty which I love!
Sexton is awesome, as stated above thank goodness he is not going to Duke or UNC. I think we get Bama at home this year don't we?
I look for Vanderbilt to be a 10-12 point and 5-6 rebound contributor next season. He just does a lot of things well.
All part of Cal's plan. He knew they were going to Alabama & Missouri. He's so good at recruiting he is getting other players to go to different SEC schools just so they can play AGAINST Kentucky!
I don't have answer to the question...but, from what I've seen, the kid looks pretty good. I'd been OK with him if he woulda signed with UK, but since he didn't...I hope they beat Alabama like a rented mule.

From what I have seen Duvall and Sexton both are shaky jump shooters, of course it didn't really matter with Wall and Fox lol.
