Why can't ESPN hire a former Cat

Mash worked for ESPN a few years ago. Larry Conley was a big game colorman for several years

He often was bashed one here; but, Jimmy Dykes was about as much of a UK "homer" there could be for a national analyst.

Even during the BCG desperation years.

I hope ESPN adds at least two more ACC guys to their assortment of analysts - Roy and Coach K.

I'd rather them both do play-by-play than disgrace the sidelines (in Roy's case) or coach for another decade just because he can (in Coach K's case).

You have to be able to pull a 40 lbs vacuum on an onion sack to qualify for the ACC slurpfest that you are required to promote, all while holding a straight face.

ESPN is not for everyone.

Dykes was good, when he stayed within himself. The catch phrases were annoying and he tended to beat small irrelevant items to death, like Jarnell Stokes and the stretching business. He still gets kidded about that to this day.

Always liked Jimmy because he said he slept on an old couch that Rupp left behind
