People try to figure out which games are sure wins and which are not, but in reality anything can happen. Toledo wasn't expected to beat Arkansas this season, Tennessee wasn't expected to beat South Carolina in 2012, Indiana wasn't expected to beat Mizzou last season, and the list goes on and on of teams winning upset games. That's the great thing about football--we can all sit here and talk, but nobody really knows.

I'm excited to watch UK and Mizzou, I love the SEC matchups. You never know, it just might end in an upset.

This game will give us a great idea of what the remainder of the season will look like...

I'm not nearly as excited as I was before the Florida game.

Before Florida, I thought that we had an offense that could put up points on anyone...

Now it looks like the defense will be our strong point, but I fear that our defense will wear down as the season goes on unless the offense can sustain drives.

Pumped. Pretty much the only thing I can think about. This would be a huge win for the program and keep us in contention for a bowl game and possibly more. This staff will have the guys ready and I'm expecting us to play better this week.

I think most of us knew what this season was going to be like.
-The offense is young and has a new OC.....yet talented. Logic would tell you that at times we are going to look decent at times they are going to struggle.
-The defense should start to assert itself in yr 3, but still not "there" yet. At times they will look great and at times get burned.

Almost everyone before this yr was predicting 5-7 wins. That means that most were predicting a "Cat Fight" throughout the yr. We're gonna win some, we're gonna lose some, and we're likely gonna get blown out at least once.

We seem to be exactly where most of us thought we'd be.

As down as I have been after the UF game I am still excited. I do think we win this game and then move to 4-1 with a very good chance at 5-1.

I'm always excited for the "next game" to see how we respond. I guess you could say I'm cautiously optimistic.

I hope I don't have an irresistible urge to leave before the end of the game. That's not pessimism it's just comes from the experience of watching the last nine games, including the two wins. Add on to that many, many years of being a UK fan.

I want to support the players and coaches but you can only stand so much bad football. Life has much better things to offer than that.

Count me as a bandwagon fan of good football and start playing it before I get too excited about upcoming SEC games and I don't mean just Vanderbilt.

I actually am excited. I have kept my expectations pretty low for this year as I believe next year will be the actual start to the program being truly competitive. We are still so young, so blown assignments and drops are the norm. The progress on the defensive side of the ball also has me really excited. Didn't think we'd be at this stage for another year. Add that to the fact that we get potentially our best LB back this week and it should be fun.

This is all neat until the first dropped pass three minutes into the game Saturday when I start dog cussing the whole athletic department.

I hope it's not an upset since we're a 3 point favorite.

:p
Interesting point, I should have looked at the spread before saying that. I just assumed since UK has never beat Mizzou and that Mizzou won the east last season that they would go into this game a favorite.

Guess Vegas isn't very impressed with Mizzou yet either.

I expect a win, and I'm ALWAYS excited to see UK Football games.....I've moved on from the UF game there is a lot of Football to play...GO CATS!

I hope PT plays great, if not let's give Barker a shot and see what happens!

this game was awful last year and neither team looks that sharp as of yet this year. couldn't be more excited.

Why any UK football fan would not be excited about being a favorite over a Top 25 team who has won 11 straight road games and the East the past 2 seasons is beyond my comprehension. This is a HUGE game for KY. Win and the UF game is a distant memory. It almost guarantees a bowl game and puts KY right back into the conversation in the East.

The problem is there are so many casual KY Football fans that climb and jump off the bandwagon that they drown out those of us who have been with the program through thick and thin. This is the most excited I have ever been about the direction of KY Football that I am excited about every game now. The offense stunk it up last week and still had a shot to beat UF.

Perspective people...

I'm excited but I'm not getting my hopes up too much. UK can win this game but it will take a couple Missouri turnovers and a big special teams play. In other words the offense will need help from the UK defense and special teams.

Missouri has won 11 straight road games. That is impressive. I can't believe we are favored.

Missouri fans feel the same way about their chances...need their defense and special teams to step up because their offense is pretty poor.

I'm back from my self imposed ban

I didn't want to see all the people blaming the wrong people for last week..like towles. . And get myself banned for real

I'm pumped up for saturday... I would hav gladly signed up for 3-1 start before the year started

I look at that as saying they are due to lose one.

And how anyone could predict that UK would win just 2 games this season is something I cannot fathom if true. EKU and Charlotte are locks of the century, and SC already so yeah...that one guy is in for a bit of a rude awakening.
