I'm assuming, probably wrongly, that the NCAA doesn't have jurisdiction over all these latest financial shenanigans.

So who would have the power to nuke this situation?

Gov. Beavin is the guy that can change things at UL. Although Beashear light is being a true Democrat and filing lawsuits against everything that Beavin is trying to do. I guess he thinks he is the NEW Liberal Savior. I didn't realize that the AG's job was to fight the governor at every turn.

These new developments seem to me to be criminal in nature. The AG probably should take the lead, there could be issues related to federal grant monies and how or for what such money can be used

--IRS (numerous violations of tax-exempt organization rules and probably filing false tax returns)
--US Attorney (possibly federal fraud charges, obstruction of justice, and embezzlement)
--KY Attorney General (fraud, destruction of records)

In addition, Foundation donors could sue for fraud and demand their money back.

There's also a possible crime in the purchase of and the loan for the Floyd Street property that far exceeded its appraised value. That needs to be investigated by the AG office. This could be a hidden bribe to the seller of the property, and the Feds could get involved if the bank that loaned the money was defrauded. It's a very serious deal to make a loan that exceeds the appraised value of the property. I would want to know if the banker there was in on some deals or got paid off to make the loan. I would want to know how that loan got approved and who signed the papers without approval of the Foundation board. Very very shady business.

Beshears was the Yum Center attorney. I guess he was knowledgeable or perhaps negotiated on the corrupt lease. Doubtful he will do anything as he is UL guy. I'm not a lawyer but this looks like grand theft and some of these involved people need to be prosecuted.

In what world is it permissible to let Ramsey clean the hard drive on his computer when he is fired for malfeasance? There was some crazy accounting practices going on at UL under Ramsey and friends. I don't think that we have heard the end of this.

I don't care if is the Knights of Columbus , just as long as they burn that sewer of a school !

If the governor doesn't step in clean house from the top to the bottom, then maybe he needs to go. The University of Louisville has to be the dirtiest educational and athletic program of all time. Jurich should be fired along with several others. Ramsey is already gone but criminal charges need to be handed down to him, Jurich and anybody else associated with that filth.

I'm thinking the IRS would be most interested. But if their tax filings match the report, being arrogant and stupid won't get you in trouble.

The AG 's law firm represented the Foundation. Kind of hard for him to sue the firm where he was a partner.

It seems that Bevin was right all along, but right out of the liberal playbook, he's been vilified and blocked at every turn...

Also, they play the "dumb" card against him just like they have done against Trump and it works on most lemmings.

There is a LOT of corruption in this state and there are a LOT of ruling class politicians and lawyers who need to go to jail!!!

I'd say that the foundation at UofL is just the bottom of a swirling toilet in this state where all the turds settle.

Lol. Have you seen the example the Feds set for us with the leeway they gave HRC. Pretty much determined that relationships are what determines if a crime has been committed or not.

I understand what you are saying, the AG should have the lead in this(not saying he will)the feds are the next choice.I think this is too big for a Commonwealth's Attorney to take on(especially if he can't find somebody to charge in the hooker/stripper scandal at UL)

When the Secretary of State of the United States is allowed to do it, why can't the president of a university?

Our governor tried to clean house but our liberal atty General cried and filed suit

It's not hard if it's the job he was elected to do. But that's the problem with politicians. They're all more worried about who's lining their pockets than they are doing their actual jobs. Along the way, they've managed to turn the people against each other.
