Just curious as to who everyone thinks we get for 2018.

cal is in tight with multiple top tier 2018 guys. i would be totally shocked if we do not land multiple top 10 guys. we are trailing with some guys right now, but not in a bad spot and once cal coaches them on the u19 team i expect you will see a grand slam type of class.

I think for the first time since the harrison class we will have a few stay for the soph year. I am thinking PJ washington and quade green stay along with baker and SGA. So that may make it tough to land a PG. Its safe to say one of the Cs will stay too (probably SKJ) but he shouldnt keep a top rated C from signing. Wenyen may come back for JR year too.
When its all said and done I think cal misses on a pg because both SGA and Green will probably be back. Final class will be:
Bagley
Williamson
Langford
Reddish
Bol Bol

Next year is going to be the most interesting recruiting year under Cal's tenure here as there are so many question marks on who will stay.

Isn't that the best player(s) at every position?

Leaving Bagley on the side as there is some uncertainty if he plays at the collegiate level.....

Bol Bol
Quickley or Smart
Barrett if he reclassifies
Naz if Bagley is a no go
Moore

I like your optimism. But, I don't see us getting Langford. Replace him with Quickley and I can pretty well agree with this list.

One of Smart or Quickley
Williamson
Bol Bol
Bagley
I feel confident in those....still think we may get Langford, really hope we do just so we can run it in the faces of Duke,UL,IU.

Don't know how many will agree but I think Zion is one of the most over hyped recruits in a long time. I could be wrong but I don't think he has really played consistently against talent even close to his level.

It's starts and ends with bagley. He's a must have. He is right there wtith ad as a guy that can carry us to a championship. Williamson would be second. But bagley is a must. I cringe at the idea of him going to Arizona

He might go straight to the NBA.

Bagley is one of those transcendent type players that rarely comes along. Gosh, we need him bad! He's like a nuclear weapon, he doesn't need to wind up in the villains hands.

Would love to get two of Bagley, Zion, Langford and Reddish.
A top PG. (Don't know a ton about the guys in the class yet.)
Bol Bol

Just my personal wishlist given what I've seen thus far.

I have a feeling Bagley either plays this season or never plays a minute in college. He will likely be in the 2018 draft one way or another.

I think when we see the U19 roster, the picture will be a little better of who he really wants and who is really interested in playing for Cal. Until then, it's going to be hard to guess who we will get.

I expect another insane class, though.

For Kentucky it's Smart or Quickley. Garland will go to puke.

I also believe this is how it will play out. Also agree on an insane class. We are in great shape. Shit, we may end up getting Bol Bol, Naz, and Shittu in the 4-5 spots.

Bagley and Williamson is enough to win a championship
Give me these 2 and a healthy dose of returnees and anything else would be Icing. It is really early to tell though...gotta play the season...but I would think Diallo will ref go, possibly Vanderbilt as well...but it will really boil down to how well this team performs and who shines....Diallo, Knox, Vanderbilt and Richards are the ones with highest likelihood of leaving at this point (I'm that order with first 3 highly likely to go and 4th will if he has a decent season), then th group of (not in order) Quade, SGA, SKJ, Wenyen, Washington...any one or more could have a big year and jump, then with Baker and Two, neither are very likely to be one and done or leave...add in likely open scholly...should have room to add 3-4...with the possibility of many more based on how the season unfolds.

Well the only way he can be in the 2018 draft is if he graduates this summer (which he can't). I'm not sure everyone on here knows the rules. Diallo and Maker could go because they were a year removed from graduating from H.S AND they were doing a postgrad year

So you think he plays overseas? Possible, but impossible to be in the 2018 draft unless he graduates H.S this summer (won't happen)

Reddish is duke all the way. I think we add Bagley , bol bol, Zion , Quickly , a 2nd SF like Moore and a SG who isn't Langford.

I see many people are already setting themselves up for the fainting couch when every significant contributor on the roster declares for and remains in the draft after next season.

Boy you are optimistic. Cal has shown he is good but that's a haul.

This year, we should make a good run, but the next year, I am really pumped. With what we could have coming back and a really good recruiting class (that has some really nice players) ... we should have a squad similar to our last championship team.

I think this ('17) class is by far Cal's most difficult to predict those heading to the draft.

It's like every single one of them is a maybe.
I'd rank the most likelihood as the following (not saying who's best CBB player, but most likely to be one and done);
1. Knox (size and skill)
2. Vanderbilt (size and skill)
3. Richards (length and athleticism)
4. Gabriel (will be ready to get)
5. PJ (tweener? But plenty of potential)
6. SKJ (shows enough to be taken early 2nd)
7. SGA (plenty of upside with his size and athleticism)
8. Green (hard nosed PG that could go 1st if we make a deep run)

If we underperform expectations I could see us losing no more than two from this team.
The other extreme is win a chip with great ball play and easily lose 6 or more.

I think we lose four. (Not a prediction of how the season ends up.. just a gut guess on early entrants).

I have no idea. I just don't want to assume he's ours and then be disappointed - cuz he is obviously an incredible talent.
