Talked to a buddy of mine just now who played football for Kentucky State and was an assistant under Guy Morris. He brought up something to me that I think was interesting.
He is a UK fan and he thinks it honestly be best for us to lose a close one Saturday and possibly not make a bowl again. He said he is afraid winning barely and making a bowl will make it easier to not change anything and he thinks that would be one of the worst things that could happen. He thinks due to in state kids he thinks this class will remain in tact. He thinks KS Dawson needs to pack his bags as well as 2 to 3 others.
I'm not sure if I share his sentiment but I can see where he is coming from.
I do think we lose Saturday. Vandy's defense is really really good and WHT they do well, is run between the tackles, which is what we don't do well. If we can load up and stop the run and force them to pass we can win the game. I just don't see our offense doing anything. Hard to believe, but Vandy's defense will be the best we have seen as a whole all year.
Houston statistically is the best offense in the nation.... Vandy held them to under 40% 3rd down conversion, 350 total yes, a tad over 200yds passing and really Houston's offense only truly earned 6pts (others coming off of 4 Vandy TO)
