Neither needs to be an option...because neither will happen. One can only imagine what it would actually take for this to happen, this day in age.

neither. The NCAA does not like to take away titles. I expect very little to be done to UL and not enough to UNC***.

Neither. Both should but nothing will happen to them. Between the two, UNC should be hammered the hardest but I think we all know that won't happen. UNC is pure academic fraud to keep players eligible where as Louisville was slime tactics to lure players in.

U of L has a much better chance of being severely punished by the NCAA. U of L is accused of giving "benefits" to recruits and players. In UNC's case, the NCAA has had a long standing policy of not medaling with member school's academics once a student is cleared to play and as long he meets NCAA minimum standards...I personally believe UNC giving undeserved degrees to athletes is horrible. However, the NCAA doesn't usually get into this as long as they are an accredited institution.

Neither, although UNC deserves it more than UL.
18 years of academic fraud is much worse than 4 years of hiring strippers for recruits IMO.

UNC's 2005 title team didn't even go to school , they were simply given the necessary grades . You could probably give them a first time tour of the UNC campus .

I see that many say the NCAA doesn't take away titles. I agree.

BUT, what do you think would've happened had Cal's Memphis team won the title game against Kansas. If Memphis had won that game...their title would've likely been stripped. "Cause it's Cal and all.

surprised so many of you guys picked neither
i honestly believe that between the two cases we are going to see the first title stripped, maybe in both cases
i think the NCAA has to show a strong hand for congress
they have to prove that they are more than just a money making machine, and care about ethics and education

UofL because it is a more simple case for them to deal with. I think both will lose their titles as the NCAA needs to show strength as mentioned above.

Neither, but igf one did lose it would be Ul.

I don't know if either will be stripped, but the taint of academic fraud is on UNC and the taint of Katina, Too Tall and to a lesser extent Jazzy is on UL. TAINT!

Neither, but UNC should have all of their basketball history vacated back to (and including some of) the Dean Smyth years, and their entire athletic department shut down for at least five years.

UL is much more likely to get what they deserve, they don't have the Carolina myth in the media protecting them.
