I refuse to call Arkansas a rival no matter how hard they try to force it. They're simply not on a level high enough to care about them on days we're not playing them.
Well the cardinal fan base continues to decline with the the rise in the west end murder rate and the new east end bridge will encourage more papa john and yum elites to bridge jump with the coming loss of titles and vacating of wins. So I would say Kansas.
I spend lots of time working in Louisville - it's them and it isn't close. Jealous of everything, always. You know you own a team when they respond to your success on the hardwood by throwing insults about your football team?

UL without a doubt. To be honest, the series has gotten so one sided, I am beginning to wonder if we should consider another opponent after a few more years. I think the team would benefit from better OOC competition right before SEC play. Plus, less risk of STDs.

Louisville. I honestly think they have battered spouse syndrome. If you ever have trouble remembering any details about the Eddie Sutton or BCG eras, just ask a U of L fan. They can tell you everything. Every rumor that's out there about one of our players or coaches, they either started or promoted.

Louisville fans literally hate Kentucky more than they like their own team.
I can't say that anyone with a recent championship is off-the-charts jealous, so I'll go with the Loosiers. No other team, that I know of, made everything into a mini-shrine after a victory in an early Dec. game.
They caught us at 5 in 1987. They thought they were it, and kicked us while we were down for a couple years. Since then, other than a lucky run in 2002, they haven't done ish.
A generation has never seen them holding a trophy. Hopefully, it'll stay that way for a loooooooong time.

But here's the worst part. UK is the #1 college basketball program. It's been proven time and time again. But Louisville fans think they are the elite program in the state of KY. They make themselves feel better about their shortcomings by trying to knock UK's accomplishments.
Worse than that, their coach cheated on his wife, paid for her abortion and allowed another sex scandal to happen on his watch but they blame everyone but Pitino. These people don't get it, they don't understand that everyone else is laughing at them and thinks their coach is disgusting.
If these things happened at UK they would be relentless. There would be billboards on I-64 explaining how disgusting Cal and UK are.

It is OTIS first, but making a hard charge for the lead is Indiana. I was in French Lick at the resort this weekend, wearing my UK sweatshirt and was amazed by the hatred those bastards have for our program and us in general. One guy told me that he hates us more than any rival, including Purdue and only watches games that we have a possibility to lose. In turn I told him "You don't watch a lot of TV do you". I then told him that I didn't really consider them a rival, which caused him to roll his eyes and walk away.
I'm really glad we don't give them the honor of playing us any more.
They really miss that game and haven't come close to replacing us on their schedule.

I'd go with UL. If you don't have to live in the city of Louisville, then consider yourself lucky. I've heard the most insane things from UL fans to try and make themselves look like they're on UKs level. That fanbase has deluded themselves into thinking they are a blue blood. I've had UL fans pick the most random start dates to try and prove a point, a UL fan would be like we have the most titles since 2013 so were more elite. I've also had a friend tell me, with a straight face, that the rivalry is a lot closer than UK fans think. I mean 33-15 doesn't speak for itself? Or that since Cal arrived its been 7-1, with two loses ending UL season?

We will eventually. I hope it's under Cal, but even if he can get us 1-2 he's helped us out a LOT. Hopefully, the worst case scenario is he puts the next coach in that position, whoever that may be.
This is so true. Everytime I argue with a Louisville fan I hear insults about trailers, no teeth, no shoes, living in a holler, and Christmas lights on the house all year. I then show them this:

Everyone hates us right now. The only people that pull for UK other than UK fans are UNC fans when we play Duke, Duke fans when we play UNC, and a lot of SEC fans who don't really care about their teams enough to hate us. They want to see UK represent the SEC.
using that premise Lvlle for darn sure not a rival. I would call Duke our main rival, the tards aren't in our class period. if they played Murray State 10 times the series would be 5 and 5. it is embarrassing to UK for them to be called our rival.it serves us no purpose to play them, all it does is bolster their schedule.
